The Auray professional shotgun microphone windshield provides 360° wind protection while maintaining acoustic transparency for clear and accurate recordings. Its slip-on design is intended for compatible microphones measuring 0.75 to 0.9 inches (19 to 23 mm) in diameter and up to 5.5 inches (14 cm) long.

A specially manufactured open-cell foam matrix creates a controlled air space around the microphone. A 25 mm simulated rabbit fur covering further diffuses moving air, helping reduce broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal loss of high-frequency detail.

An airtight tapered rubber base seals around the rear of the microphone to improve isolation and rear wind protection. The covering also helps prevent moisture and dirt from reaching the microphone during outdoor and location recording.
